Ligue 1+, the new platform from Ligue 1 McDonald’s
An identity designed to embody the channel’s promise: an immersive, modern experience resolutely focused on the fans. Ligue 1+ is built to meet new ways of consuming sports and entertainment: a focus on live content, personalized experiences, and a fully digital environment accessible on all screens through an ambitious OTT platform. The new identity builds on the work done for France’s Ligue 1 championship while asserting the channel’s own unique personality. The platform also celebrates the clubs — their colors and heritage — strengthening the emotional bond between supporters and their teams.
A bold identity, a unifying universe
- The creation of the “L1+” symbol becomes the channel’s emblem and its primary mark of recognition.
- The italicization of the word “Ligue” strengthens its connection to the symbol while evoking movement and intensity.
- The brand universe retains Ligue 1’s proprietary elements — colors and typefaces — resulting in a refined, minimalist identity designed to highlight the spectacle of the matches and showcase the platform’s full range of uses.
- The Ligue 1+ identity has been conceived to be fully adaptable and customizable to the colors of each club, across all media and touchpoints: broadcast, social networks, OTT platform, motion design, and promotional content.

Rather than replacing the league’s identity, Ligue 1+ extends it and strengthens its visibility, driven by a single ambition: to offer all fans an enriched, immersive, and unifying experience — one that reflects the new chapter our football is about to begin.
